A graduate of the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, Allen Boxer is a regular guest of the Semperoper Dresden, as well as other European opera houses.

The 2014-2015 season found him in the role of Spencer Coyle in a new production of Owen Wingrave with Opéra National de Lorraine. He then added Frank (Die Tote Stadt) to his repertoire, with Nantes Angers Opéra.

As a member of Semperoper Dresden’s Junges Ensemble from 2011 to 2013, Allen sang numerous roles, including Dandini (La cenerentola), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Angelotti (Tosca), Baron Douphol (La traviata), and Vicomte Cascada (Die Lustige Witwe).

In the summer of 2011, Allen returned to Opera Theatre of St. Louis to sing the Physician (Pelléas and Mélisande). During his years at the Curtis Institute of Music, he sang diverse roles, such as Nick Shadow (The Rake’s Progress), Dulcamara (L’elisir d’amore), Golaud (Impressions of Pelléas), and the Forester (The Cunning Little Vixen).

Allen has appeared as Collatinus (The Rape of Lucretia) with both Castleton Festival and Aldeburgh’s Britten-Pears Programme, as Masetto (Don Giovanni) with Opera North (NH), and Olin Blitch (Susannah) with Chautauqua Voice Institute, as well as singing for Festival Aix-en-Provence’s Académie Européenne de Musique.
